Kinetic analysis of hemolysis of sheep red blood cells (SRBCs) by Crotalus viridis plasma at different temperatures. SRBCs (1%, v/v) were incubated with an equal volume of 25% plasma of C. viridis for different amounts of time and at different temperatures. The samples were centrifuged, and the optical densities of the supernatants were measured at 540 nm and expressed as the % maximum as compared to a hemolysis positive control.
