Temperature-dependent hemolysis of sheep red blood cells (SRBCs) by plasma from Crotalus viridis. SRBCs (1%, v/v) were incubated with an equal volume of 25% plasma of C. viridis for 1 h and at different temperatures. The samples were centrifuged, and the optical densities of the supernatants were measured at 540 nm and expressed as the % maximum as compared to a hemolysis positive control. The results represent the means ± standard deviations for four independent determinations
